THIS WEEK
Twas The Week Before Christmas
Hopefully you are having a great holiday season. In this week before Christmas, go full steam at your workouts. Also, Not all fruits and vegies are created equal.
THINGS TO PRACTICE:
1. Amp Your Workouts. Holiday weeks often tend to be quite busy and are better used as a bit of a download week or a recovery week. With that in mind, push hard in your workouts this week. This is a good week to add a few extra workouts or up your intensity a bit. You won’t regret pushing a little harder and if you miss a workout next week, you won’t have to feel guilty about it.
2. Check Your Labels. Usually when we think about checking labels, we are talking about processed foods. Checking labels on fruits and vegies is just as important. During the winter months, it often means a shift in where our fruits and vegetables get sourced from. Always go with organic especially on fruits or vegetables that have thin skin. Try to stick with fruits and vegetables grown and packaged in the USA. Our growing practices tend to be more regulated than some countries. This applies to fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables. The frozen mixed berry packs or other mixed packs can sometimes contain multiple items grown from different countries and of varying degrees of organic. Be smart about your choices and read your labels this week.
