It’s hard to believe that we are coming up on the start of October! October means pumpkin; and, there are some great benefits to pumpkin in your diet. On another note include stress reduction strategies throughout your week this week!
THINGS TO PRACTICE:
1. Pumpkin Time. Pumpkin is an awesome superfood and is also quite abundant this time of year! It packs in a ton of vitamin A and Vitamin C and can help boost immunity during cold season. Pumpkin is also known for its antioxidants and fighting free radicals and disease. Another benefit is the potassium for those looking for a little potassium boost in the diet with some Fall season races. Try to include some pumpkin in your diet this week. Just watch out for many of the high sugar treat options when it comes to Pumpkin. Pumpkin lattes and pumpkin desserts are often quite high in sugar which negates many of the benefits of including it in the first place.
2. Cut Stress. As we are full swing into Fall, many of us can find stress levels rising again with the the hustle and bustle of work, family schedules, etc. Carve out some time for you this week to give yourself a little relax time. Take some time to re-energize and keep your body and mind fresh this week. Maybe it means scheduling a massage, going for a walk, or taking some time to just enjoy some scenery. Whatever is calling you, take some time this week to relax for yourself.
