Happy Dad’s Day

Happy Father’s Day week. This week make sure to stay on track with your workouts. Moving into summer can mean changing schedules. Don’t let a new and busy schedule let you skip workouts. Plus, more superfoods below!

THINGS TO PRACTICE:

1. Hemp. Hemp is a great superfood is an awesome source of plant protein and fiber. Hemp also has a really nice balance between omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids making it an inflammation fighting machine.  You can use hemp as a toppping to salads, oatmeal, or an acai bowl. My favorite way to incorporate it is to purchase a hemp protein powder and use it to mix a post workout smoothie!
2. Cassava Flour. In the last couple years, the quest for healthier flour alternatives has been very popular. Cassava flour is a less known alternative flour. It comes from the cassava root (also known as yuca). It is gluten, nut, and grain free. Opposed to more the traditional wheat based flour, cassava flour has some really nice benefits for your gut bacteria and is great for digestive health. Due to its gut health properties it is also a great inflammation fighter.
