Think Big Picture
So often in the world of health and fitness, we get bogged down in the nitty gritty, and miss the big picture. We try to pick-up pennies but miss dollar bills. Do you find yourself asking what is the best infused water to drink, or what electrolyte and pH level your water should be, but the reality is you just aren’t drinking enough water to even need to worry about the details. This is often the reality of health. Sometimes we need to just look at the big picture and tackle the most obvious areas of improvement.
THINGS TO PRACTICE:
1. Hit Your Workout Every Day. We are continuing our theme of 31 workouts in October. Take a look back at the last couple weeks and see how you are doing. Make a strong push toward your workouts this week and double up on days where needed. Only 10 days left to finish this challenge strong!
2. Grab The Lowest Hanging Fruit. It always brings a smile to my face, when I hear someone that asks a bunch of detailed questions about what their heart rate should be when working out, and what their work to rest ratios should be, but then they tell me they only exercised once in the last week. It is easy to get caught up in the details, but miss the big picture. This holds true in nutrition, workouts, recovery, and so much more. Take some time this week to do some self reflection and see if you are missing the big picture and getting bogged down in the details. Work on the areas in your life that will make the most positive impact on your health. Tackle the big picture items this week.
