April 12-18, 2020
Hope you have a wonderful Easter! This week evaluate you environment and control what you can control.
THINGS TO PRACTICE:
1. Control What You Can. In our current state of pandemic, there are many things out of our control. This can often make us feel helpless to our situation. On the contrary, it is important to focus on things we can control in our current situation and try to make improvements on it. It doesn’t do us much good to focus on things that we cannot control, rather we should expend our energy working hard on the things that are in our control. Take a good look at the environment around you at home and your behaviors at home this week. Do you have snack foods around the house that you should get rid of? Do you need to designate a room of your house to exercise to make your workouts less distracting? What other environmental and behavioral factors can you make a positive change in for your health?
2. Cook With A Friend. Make it a goal this week to cook with a friend and help each other meal prep or try new recipes. Technology makes it so easy to facetime or zoom virtually with a friend and be able to share an experience while remaining socially distant. It is easy to forget how nice it can be to bounce new ideas off of a friend or family member. The community brain trust usually comes up with much better ideas than you could individually. Get social and share your workout and recipe ideas!
